POWER STEER PUMPS - Both KRC and Sweet pumps will bolt straight on. Pump mounts on the lower LH side which in turn lowers the centre of gravity. And in the case where an original type water pump is used, the power steer pump may be bolted on the upper RH side of the cover to make way for the water pump outlet. A bracket is supplied in the kit for this application.

WATER PUMPS - Our specially designed water pump can be used with either chain or belt drives and bolts to the front of the cover using the original bolt holes. It is driven by the camshaft via a 5 sided dog. The dog is bolted to the front of the camshaft gear using the original bolt and dowel. The impellor is threaded and pinned to lock it in place for added reliability. This water pump has a G.P.H. flow rate which exceeds that of the Ford Motorsport variety and has been extensively tested and proven very successful in Australia's premier motorsport division, V8 Supercars. (Where rules do not permit for those people still wishing to use another water pump ...NO PROBLEM! ! The versatility of this cover allows you to use either the original pump and backing plate, the Ford Race pump part no. M8501-A58/R351 and other popular brands.) At no time will parts need to be fabricated or modified to use any of these pumps with our front cover.

CAMSHAFT DRIVE - The cover incorporates a removable front plate to give you the choice of either a chain drive or a belt drive. In the case of a Yates or Danny Bee belt drive, the front cover plate is removed and bolted on to the back. With the idler spud being supplied as part of our kit, you then only need to purchase a top and bottom gear, a belt and the two seals (seals are std. size). Once again very versatile.
When using a chain drive, the cover plate remains on the front and a gasket insert is fitted to the rear. Another distinct advantage is the removable water pump cover plate for easy
camshaft access.
